Metapan (10-1) recorded its first loss on the court of third ranked San Salvador on Monday night. Visitors were defeated by San Salvador 88-80. It ended at the same time the ten-game winning streak of Metapan. San Salvador dominated down low during the game scoring 62 of its points in the paint compared to Metapan's 36. They outrebounded Metapan 45-32 including 32 on the defensive glass. The best player for the winners was who had a double-double by scoring 17 points, 17 rebounds and 6 assists. chipped in 25 points and 12 rebounds. American guard Noah Harris (185-2002, college: SNHU) produced 25 points, 6 rebounds and 7 assists for the guests. San Salvador have a solid three-game winning streak. They maintain third position with 9-2 record behind leader Metapan. Metapan at the other side still keeps top place with one game lost. San Salvador are looking forward to face Ahuachapan (#9) on the road in the next round where they are favorite. Diego Minero contributed with 13 points and 5 rebounds for the winners. Salvadorenos' coach felt very confident that he used 10 players which allowed the starters a little rest for the next games. Santa Ana's coach used a ten-player rotation and allowed the starting five to rest.
